Boucher Adoration of the Shepherds 1750 France Musée des Beaux-Arts, Lyon One of the few religious paintings undertook, this has a balance and beauty that suggest he should have produced more of them.  
 
 Bramer Adoration of the Magi 1630 Holland Institute of Arts, Detroit Known for his night time scenes with unusual   illuminating effects, Bramer's work in some respects, resemble those of Rembrandt; although critics believe each developed their techniques independently. 
 
Bloemaert Adoration of the Shepherds 1612 Holland Musée du Louvre, Paris Bloemaert's work shows the influence of Caravaggio in this balanced depiction of the Nativity scene. The celestial presence of angels above gracefully accent the mystery of the Incarnation below. 
 
Correggio Adoration of the Child 1518-1520 Italy Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence Striking yet complementary colors of blue, red  and green wrap around the light emanating from the Christ Child and radiate the tender and loving posture of the Blessed Virgin.  
 
Tintoretto Adoration of the Magi 1582 Italy Scuola di San Rocco, Venice Hovering angels grace the scene of the Magi presenting their gifts the  newborn King. Tintoretto's depiction of this scene somber and majestic, as are most of his works. 
 
Lippi Adoration of the Child 1455 Italy Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence St Hilary, St Jerome and St Mary Magdalene are added to this nativity scene commissioned for the Convent of Annalena in Florence. Fra Lippi was known as a fresco artist from Florence but this piece is tempera on wood.

Marten de Vos was a Flemish painter who went to Italy and studied with Tintoretto in Venice. 

 
Ghirlandaio Adoration of the Shepherds 1510 Italy Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest The shepherds in this nativity scene are accompanied by St. Sebastian and other saints.
 
Tintoretto Adoration of the Shepherds 1579-1581 Italy Sala Grande, Scuola di San Rocco, Venice Rays of soft golden light pass through the wooden beams of the stable as the shepherds present their gifts in this split level depiction of the nativity scene. The warmth of colors, and the presence of the animals offer a serenity to this innovative presentation of the first Christmas.  
 
Fra Angelico  Adoration of the Magi 1445 Italy  National Gallery of Art, Washington A grand procession advances to pay homage to the Word-Made-Flesh; symbolizing the procession of all creation coming to offer their worship to the newborn King.  
 
Cranach Trinity 1518 Germany Kunsthalle, Bremen The Holy Trinity surrounded by angels forms a moving presentation of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit symbolized by the Dove at the Father's left. The crucified Christ impresses the viewer with the price of mankind's redemption.

Demons shown in the shadows take charge of the  condemned as they fall into the pit of hell; shown as the interior of a volcano. The presence of the angel sounding the trumpet implies that the final judgment has been rendered and the sentence is being carried out. 

 
MIGNARD Heavenly Glory 1663
France
Val-de-Grâce, Paris This is the interior of the circular dome of the basilica "Val-de-Grace" in Paris. Mignard's frescos present some two hundred images of angels and saints and martyrs of the Church. The figures surround the Holy Trinity at the top of the dome. There the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit welcome those entering.
